Terms of Service

Participation is open to enrolled secondary-school students. Each student may register one project per conference and must be the primary author of the submitted research.

All submitted papers, slides, data, and figures must be the student's own work, with sources cited. Mentors and coauthors must be disclosed at registration. Fabricated data, plagiarism, or misrepresented authorship results in disqualification.

The recorded presentation is completed in-browser using your webcam and microphone. Up to three attempts are permitted; the attempt you submit becomes the official presentation. Administrators may reset attempts only where a verified technical failure occurred.

The oral research defense may be completed once. Questions are generated from your own submitted materials by an AI system, which records the session and transcript. The AI does not assign scores and does not determine awards. Only an administrator may reset a defense, and only for a legitimate technical failure.

Each project is reviewed independently by multiple human judges using the published 100-point rubric. Submitted judge reviews are permanent and are never modified. Final award decisions are made by conference administrators and are not automated.

Your research, recordings, and identifying information remain private by default. Materials appear on the public showcase only where you have granted permission and an administrator has published the project.

Certificates and Research Defense Reports carry a unique verification identifier. Altering a certificate or misrepresenting an award voids the credential.
